okay is anyone else tired of these people who are giving completely straight answers on the philosophy section? this is philosophy, it is different to everyone and all answers are indefinate, that is why SOME people shouldn't even try philosophy because their brains just can't understand that sometimes it is better that there are many answers instead of one...that is why the world is beautiful to us....

Yes but I believe that the definition of philosophy is to critically analyze certain assumptions or beliefs. When getting a straight answer more questions are asked in order to prove the truth of that answer. I wonder without those straight answers would philosophy even exist?

Well as some answers may be annoying it's all relative to them Just because you aren't getting a 2 page essay on, "Why Do You Comb Your Hair Everyday?" doesn't mean that the 2 letter answer isn't philosophical in it's own light. And even if someone does tend to define something when answering, that answer is still part of the pool of answers. Meaning that if Philosophy is really about arguing issues in a rational and from an entirely intellectual stand point; then even the most obvious answers must be examined.

I think phyosophy is just like a game, useful only to occupy ones mind, to pass the time, but useless, there are never any conclusions, just continuous pondering and never making much sense. But games are more fun, and theres always an end, a conclusion.

We are all human and i think understanding that we aren't capable of knowing everything is fundamental in philosophy. Putting your idea out there thinking its 100% correct won't broaden your prospective, and thats what counts.

Yes yes. I believe they are called know-it-alls at times, perhaps facts-r-us at other times. Its the same with religion in some senses. Clearly all of the religions can't be fact.

By the way, this is an opinionated answer. No facts are suggested.

Yes, of course, this august section is the most misused one as well. Initially it used to get on my nerves but one learns to ignore.

If that were so, there would BE no philosopers, and no schools of thought. You are talking about an animal existence. I prefer my humanity.
