It seems to me that the only truth out there is purely subjective. Whatever a person believes is their truth but it goes no further. I often get in arguments with my brother but I can't make him see anything more than he wants to or vice-versa.

For every scholar who says one thing I can find another who says he's wrong. Everyone thinks "truth" is on their side.

Look at religions. I've heard that 20 or more new religions are created each day on this planet. Why? Well, I guess they disagreed with the old one.

But is there any real one truth? On anything? I'm starting to believe that there really isn't. What do you think?

If you know yourself well enough, what is it about yourself that makes you special?
Do you view it as a blessing or a curse?
We are not talking about a one time occurence.
You will recognize this thing about yourself once it begins to become a re-occuring part of your interactions with others.

A person could be just about anything or anyone online, but don't you think that if they post enough and often enough we may get a feel of who they really are? I mean don't you think that our personality eventauly comes out soon or later in our questions and answers.

I knwo in the bible it says that your kids will pay fior your sins, but does Hinduism and bhussidm teach that also? and for those of you who don't believe in the bible, or God, or a religion, do you agree with this statement? Do any of you think you are paying for your father's sins as of now? What can you do to reverse that? Can you do lots of good things that will erase the bad karma?

What is "real" to you may or may not be "real" to me. Each "mind" is its own membrane, flowing and interacting with the ones around it as we learn and teach.
just a thought, i'm wondering if I'm mistaken or not.
so what do you think reality is?

Who is up for it? It seems obvious to me that humanity cannot continue down the current path and survive very long into the future. Nuclear proliferation, environmental destruction, overpopulation, worship of money above all else....There are many factors stacked against us. I believe that there are ways that we can live on this planet in a sustainable way, but I think those ways will require a serious change in the way the vast majority of people think. A revolution of the mind. I am wondering who out there holds similar beliefs. I am also very interested in any ideas about how to popularize such a notion, and get governments and other major organizations involved in a serious discussion about things that really matter.
