Why fear that which is the nature conclusion to the process begun with your birth?
I think often the word fear is misused in this context. ALthough I do not doubt there are those who truly FEAR death. The majority of people I have talked to really are expressing more regret about all that they will miss or all they didn't do.

But then, I know some strange people.

Its pretty hilarious that some humans fear death. The question you have to ask yourself is, why do you fear it? We can control our feelings to some degree and fearing death is something we can control. Death is meant to be understood as something fantastic because it gives you the respect of what living is. Death is something we can not fully comprehend now. So if we can not comprehend death, than what makes you so sure you can comprehend life? Death is not meant to scare but only the people that want you to be scared.

Right is whatever you think it is. I don't fear death so much as I wouldn't be too thrilled to die having not accomplished any of my aspirations in life. Death, though it doesn't matter if I do or don't, is something I accept, for the most part. We just have to make the best of every moment that we're alive and kicking and live smart, not hard.

The fear of being killed is natural in all the animal kingdom for self preservation. The fear of death as a passage to another plane is unnecessary for anyone who believes in the after life.

I totally fear death. But I don't let that affect how I live.
I fear death because I do not know what it entails, and because I really really really like being alive. Life beats the unknown hands down in my book.
In my opinion, you'd have to be at least a little bit crazy to not be afraid of dying.

Isn't 'fear of the unknown' accepted all over the world? Death is an unknown entity, so a healthy fear of it seems acceptable to me. But balancing it with a faith in divine power helps a lot.

I don't know if it is 'right' to fear death. That implies that there is moral imperative either to fear or not to fear death. I think that fear of death is natural to all humans and just is. There is no moral reasoning behind it, merely survival instinct.

My outlook on life, why fear something you can not control. I can not control taxes. I can not control gas prices. I can not control death. No one ever has and no one ever will. Now I do believe in God, an all loving all forgiving, God. This does comfort me when and if I do worry about death. Why waist the time worrying though? Just waisting some of the life that your worried about losing.

I am a Christian and I fear death. I do not dwell on my fear because I know that I will die when it is my time and there is nothing that can change it. Death in and of its self is a scary thing but Jesus died to conquer death so we don't need to dwell on it at all.

If you or I were the only person alive we would never know what death is, so we would not be in fear. Since we live in a community and are aware how things and situations change after one dies we are bound to be partly in fear for our dear ones who will be left behind................so we are right to certain extent to be in fear.
