It really means that being afraid of something is more damaging than facing up to your fears. Also that the fear response can be crippling to those who are about to face a frightening situation, and could hamper your ability to respond appropriately and effectively.

I think it means that the feelings you go through when you are afraid, are worse than the thing you fear. If you just forget the fear for a moment, you can accomplish whatever you want.

i think it means "don't let fear hold you back from trying new things". Basically, it's natural to stick to "what you know" but this is not the best way to live. Be adventerous. go outside your 'comfort zone' once in a while and experience new things...any kind of things: new food, learn a 2nd (3rd/4th) language, visit a museum, read a book, learn a new sport, etc. It's a big wonderful world out there ;)

Hi, lalahappybunny - I think it means that a lot of times we build up something small in our minds until it's a gigantic roadblock and the fear could paralyze us. And it is usually fear of something unknown! Take one step and time; just look where you're going.

hi lalahappybunny. luv the name. :)) to me it means don't let fear hold you back. The fear itself is very debilitating and can be worse than the thing you fear. I don't think you have to be afraid of fear anyways, just understand it and feel it and realize it's normal.

Being afraid of fear keeps you away from it. When you have Faith, fear has no place in you, so fear nothing but fear, because if fear gets in, faith leaves.....

What it means is, that fear can really ruin you. It can keep you from leading a happy, free life. Being afraid can keep you down, keep you from being yourself. fear can freeze you in your tracks.
Being afraid of those who would make war on you, can keep you from being victorious.

The only thing that could actually be dangerous is panicking because it will enable you from taking action. When you
"freak out", it sort of also creates a state of chaos around your surroundings as well which could not be so good.
