Unless our universe is part of a finite and relatively small space-time, the answer is almost certainly yes. And the evidence isn't conclusive, but it seems to indicate we do NOT live in a 'small' finite universe. As a matter of fact, influential cosmologists claim there we all have an infinity of doubles, as at least 4 different types of parallel universes are hypothesized, and any or all 4 may be infinite, which would imply (given other plausible assumptions) that each person has an infinity of doubles in each one. See Max Tegmark's article in the May 2003 Scientific American and his website.

Funny, me and my drunken/stoned cohorts were discussing the same topic last night. We were imagining our counterparts in an alternate dimension, doing the same things we were, but that we were the opposite, male is female, short is tall, etc...
It seems logical that there exists things beyond our senses, for if we could indeed know all, then why does noone understand why gravity works? We know it's there, yet we can't see, hear, feel, taste, or smell it. There are many instances when I have felt the presence of something odd, with no ability to discern exactly what it is, and yet I cannot deny that I just "sensed" something.
Another point to consider, all religions of mankind have believed in an ascension to heaven, or another level of existance. Hundreds of trillions upon hundreds of trillions of people can't be wrong, but maybe through time, like hearing something through the grapevine, the story gets skewed and elaborated to the point where we think there's some god up in a members only heaven. Perhaps we simply become something else. And perhaps we won't know that we used to live here in this dimension when we get there.

I can see the chance that there is a parrellel universe but I don thtink that there will be double of u, If tehre were doubles of us then everyone made the EXACT samce decisions that we made adn everything happened the exact same way. that would seem to be a waste, i think that there may be an alternate universe with human beings on it but it is different than us because everyone made different decisions, it may be better or worse but I dont think its the exact same.

Only if time travel is possible, every time one goes back and changes something, a split in the fabric of time occurs and an alternate universe is formed. Where is the evidence of this? There is none, time, as far as we know, travels only in one direction.

intense-high quality attempt. i be attentive to the place you're coming from in this one. Quantum physics says that that that's observed might desire to exist on account that that that's observed is affected. in spite of the indisputable fact that, if the human race did no longer exist to video exhibit the universe, it would nonetheless exist. the reason why I argue it is that there are issues suitable now that would desire to exist and notice the universe yet do no longer exist. So, we would desire to stop to exist. The human race and human intelligence might desire to stop to exist, and yet, the universe might nonetheless be right here. for example, animals that have long previous extinct, have of their very own limied techniques, observed existence and the existence of the universe interior their very own potential to observe of it. yet, they have ceased to exist. we are nonetheless right here. The universe continues to be right here. See the element? purely because of the fact humanity might desire to stop to exist and for this reason, the universe would not be observed from a human point of view, would not reason the universe to stop to exist. I additionally think of it is amazingly slender minded to think of we are the only clever existence in an huge universe...we are nonetheless questioning like stone age clowns questioning we are the only ones in the universe with intelligence. needless to say, if we ceased to exist, they might proceed to video exhibit the universe. finally, i've got faith God exists. And as long as God exists, the universe would be observed by utilising divine remark and that's why the universe will continually exist, regardles of humanity.
