Original thought is a dying art these days. Most people are programmed to think and act a certain way. Science fiction depicts humans of the future as giant brains with no motor skills. But if we continue at the rate we are going it may be the other way around. Humans of the future could lose their ability to think independently and become slaves to corporate dictation. Whoa! Wait a minute-we are already there.

Nowadays...the definition of originality is the myth of original..even if you think you may have an original idea, it's a myth for others...and even if others think it's original...it's a myth to you. So...originality is about thinking that what you think is not a myth even others think it is...but not because you know that but because nobody knows what it is...it means to me a lot because it's nothing...because when you say it's something, it doesn't really mean anything to anyone...do you?

I think that one can be truly original. If not, then this exact 'me' has done this exact thing at this exact time already...wait a minute, that doesn't make sense. I believe myself to be one of a kind. Answers to these questions could be considered proof of originality. Could anyone ever predict all of the answers that any given question would receive? Even if you had the infinitely long list of answers and an infinite amount of time to choose which ones you think would come from each individual, how could you ever be sure that you knew which answer each individual would give?

I think everyone is unique but no, not very original. It's true there has never been anyone like each one of us before and there never will be someone like us again but I don't necessarily believe that makes one original. Even trying to be original has been done before. Personalities may differ but we still have the same emotions and being human makes us far more the same than not. we're all carbon copies. different but not very original. It doesn't really mean anything to me. I just be myself and never compare myself to anyone. I'm comfy being me.

It,s Not A Myth To Me,
I'm Original, No One Is The Same.
I'm Me
And No One Or Nothing Can Change, That.

I'm pretty sure it isn't, at least not by now. We learn way too much, everything we think and do is built upon something else, even without all the help and support we get from others in doing it. I don't think it's bad that we've lost exclusive originality, but instead that collaberation is a worthy goal.

one can only be original if one if the first to activate what has been waiting to be activated -- however, if it was waiting, then it is not originated by me, therefore, yes, originality is a myth waiting to happen. makes sense to you ?

Yes, I do believe that one can be original....I am. I think it means to be your own person and to be different. Which is what I am all about. And I think it's fun and I like it.

Can't be too serious about that. Can't just forget everything you've heard, seen and learned: just don't copy without being honest to yourself. And, it is childlish, to be "original person".
