i m always thinkin what would be the answer to this question and i had several thoughts,i wanne know what others think....

there is no purpose.
what is the purpose of the " spoon"?it has no purpose.it is a TOOL.so, it depend on how you USE it.
it is just our MIND that can produce a concept {life} and use it as a tool.

Life can not really be defined because we have death to look at. If you cant understand death than there will be difficulty explaining life. But to look at life to our best comprehension , than it is the means to prosper as a civilization and in individuality for the progress of the up coming generations. Just look at the world now and see how we are doing from the beginning of recorded history. More population, the harder to manage. Our systems have failed this planet, so we must look at the purpose of life and make a new system for us and our civilization.

The purpose of life? As a species procreation or continuing on. From a religious standpoint whatever purpose the God one believes in wanted us here for. From a scientific standpoint it was all a accident or coincidence.
I actually believe we will not understand the purpose of life is until we die.

We must understand if we are created for a purpose or not firstly.
Because we did not choose to be created and be born so it was not our choice , and so that purpose should not be ours.
But with not regarding this situation and as the unique intelligent living we live by our own different ways.
If you think you are existing by coincidence, your purpose of the life should be living very very good and irresponsible because of the unique chance of existing ( However if you fail in good living this can conclude to thinking the life trivial and it is dangerous) , but if you think your purpose of life is attached to the purpose of creation of the universe, your purpose of life will be very meaningful that you live for you and live for gaining good specialties preparing for the other world by behaving good person.,
I think the purpose should be ' live for your life as if not to die, live for the other world as if to die tomorrow. '

To live and to procreate and in some cases to live and not to procreate.
Your question has many answers which are all correct as it is a question of percpetion. A child could tell you life is to play, eat sweets, go to school, receiving toys and sleep at night and he would be right as it is his/her perception.

To get to know and love yourself.Everything's been created just for that, so that you can test your reaction to it (the bible agrees to this theory, since god gave the earth to people). Other humans are there just for you to see yourself more clear in comparison.
