So, we are throwing a surprise birthday party for my great-grandmother. She is turning 80 years old. My boyfriend plays guitar and I sing, and for her present we wanted to do something along with that. We have absolutly no idea what to do. So, I really need your help. Artist and Song titles please and if you can tabs on guitar for the song, if not thats allright (we can find them). I was wandering if anyone knew any website you can learn guidtar for "free". Has anyone ever found one? I'm preety much trying to teach myself b/c I don't have any money for lesson's or a "good" DVD. Is there anyone out there who has learned on there own and if so how'd you do it?

I always want to self learn acoustic guitar but have no knowledge and experiences. I want to start with buying a guitar range less than $200. I found a website but have no idea which one is suitable for a beginner like me.

I can't seem to understand musical scales... Guitar to be more precise. I've been playing about 8 months, I'm self taught, and I'm trying to understand them but all the "root note" and designs and everything seems to be nothing but confusing to me.
