Seriously Lisa if you sincerely want to play get a mid-range guitar. I am not up on the pricing as I am not from your neck of the woods. A cheap instrument will come with many problems such as warped neck, poor action and the like. It will put you off playing. If you can borrow one from a buddy that plays or just play around with someone elses you will get an idea of the feel and sound of a good instrument. Save and get a good one. Get back to me if you like and I will be able to give you a few reasonably priced name brands. I also need to know what style of playing you are looking at before I can make a recommendation.

K Mart, target or Wall mart. But you can make it worth more by taking good care of it and replace the strings when needed so that the sound is always great. and if you keep it polished you can make it look more expensive and nicer than you bought. And if you want a new guitar you can sell it for way more than you paid for it if you keep it in great condition.

You won't get a good guitar for anywhere near that, but you can get one from Wal-Mart or someplace for about that much that you can use to learn and practice.

Craigs list or a garadge sale is the only place you'll find something that cheap. Unless you steal one.

Why bother at that budget? Just find someone who has one you can borrow and see if you like playing it at all, first. Are you wanting to PLAY it or just use it as a prop or something??
