I've been told I could be the next Christina Aguilera or Mariah Carey. I have a 4-octave range and I've been told that I'm a great songwriter. I'd really like to go somewhere with my music, but I live in the middle of nowhere in a tiny town in New England. Any suggestions?

My flute teacher tells me that I have trouble getting into the upper register notes because my lips are too tight. Any suggestions on how to keep my mouth and lips loose enough so I can reach the higher register? If this doesn't make sense leave a note and I'll try to explain better. My high register notes come out airy...I can't seem to get them down. Any help/tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have always loved the sound of a cello, but have been intimidated by playing them. I'm thinking though that it might be worth it to conquer that fear. I currently play the electric bass. I can't directly read music, but I can transcribe it; I mostly use tablature in my bass playing, which I don't think would work so well on a cello (since it is fretless)...

Please help? I don't want to drop money on something that I have no hope of playing, LOL

I am getting a good clarinet and want to get a good mouthpiece to use when testing them. I have heard Van dorens are good, but what should I look for. I am an intermediate player, but want to get a good mouthpiece. Do stores let you try mouthpieces?

Okay, I have been playing the clarinet for 5 years, and just recently, when i play, my throat wont let the air throuh and it hurts to play, i can't blow up balloons either. I just can't play and during concerts it's even harder because i have to "fake" play...does anyone know what this could be?

I posted this before but am still looking for additional answers

My theatre company has a successful children's program that now includes many young, teenage girls. Our regular company is looking for a play that would allow us to include some of these girls in our upcoming seaon. Someone recommended "The Children's Hour". Do you have any other suggestions?

Additional Details
I'm more than happy to author something. I wouldn't have to deal with royalties. However, the public is more interested in seeing something that is already established. Does anything come to mind?

I'm new to ties (and slurs, etc.) so trying to compose this peice which has a lot of ties in it is proving to be difficult.

Here is one measure

Is this right? I want to hold that first E throughout the entire measure, but come in with the G after half a note and hold that for the entire measure, but come in with the B half a note after the G, and hold that triad until the end of that measure.
