That depends on which woodwind you are switching to. Clarinet, not so much, but flute, most likely.

French horn is the star of the show - why would you want to switch?

I'm in college right now as a music major and I've learned all of the woodwinds instruments. If you practice you will be able to do it. I know people that play french horn and learn to play all the woodwind instruments. It's up to you if it's going to be hard. If you play the french horn you already have good lung support so I think you'll be fine.

Of coarse not!! woodwinds are very simple to play. You'll also find that they are more relaxing to play and easy to control the instruments volume w/practice. Very simple, a lot more free blowing then a french horn with less effort to get any sound. But you still have to tongue your notes!

It all depends on how far you want to take it. If you want to be professional, of course it's super hard. If you want to just play a couple of notes, it's easy. I think it's easier than playing french horn.

Depends. They all use different muscles. And some are harder than others (ie. oboe vs. clarinet). I would go to a music store and try out a few to get a feel. I did that before settling on a flute.

I play the Bassoon and it was a little hard for me at first. I had to get my breathing correct.

No, you just blow in one end and move your fingers around the outside.
