I know the French Horn is in F, but what note is asked to be played and what note will that be at concert pitch? In an orchestra everyone tunes to a concert A but it's different in a brass quintet.

I loved it! I cried when they did For Good, it was truly a great musical! Lemme know what you thought of it, or what you have heard about it!

I had my first lesson 4 weeks ago. Today was my 2nd lesson. She wasn't there for the past 3 weeks. She said she was having a stressful time. She doesn't know how to play the piano. She said her boyfriend sat on most her CD's that had audio exersices on them. She fell asleep during my lesson today. The things that I do like about her is her personality and that I can move at my own pace.

Well, I want to sing Your Guardian Angel by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus at the variety show at my school in January and have my friend play guitar. I'm uber nervous about singing by myself in front of an audience. He can't do backup vocals(it would probly help me sing it if he did, but I can survive)It kinda sucks, but I really want to get over it. I can sing good, but when I sing in front of people it ends up sounding weird. So what I'm saying is: How do I get over my nervousness? I don't even know why I'm nervous.

Something that will really blow people away. Mostly for auditions, but also just for singing. Preferibly Broadyway, in a mezzo soprano or soprano range.

I really want to be a singer or dancer..or both. I don't have much experience but I'm very talented..Right now, I'm taking ballet and my teacher says I'm really good. I'm about to start taking jazz or tap classes..Hip hop is my favorite, I'm really good..I want to be like Ciara or something...a talented signer and dancer. I'm also a really good singer..I haven't had voice lessons but I"m in chorus at school. I believe I can become a professional, I just dont know whether I should start a dance career or singing first! because I know it is best to start both at a young age and I'm 15 so I need to hurry up.

My voice; I can sing loud and sing pretty high but what are some really good exercises to help 'perfect' my voice. Some exercises to help you hold notes longer and to make my voice sound prettier and change it. Thank you!

Looking for a song. Heard a beautiful version of "Where'd You Go" intermixed with "C'est Ma Faute" by Kyo. Was curious if anyone could help me find it (it's not on Limewire or anything like that).

I know about coin in soda can and it is not transparent, so there is no chance that they put the coin after opening the can, but glass is clear transparent and I was amazed to see that they just smack the coin and inside is your coin. ANY LINKS.

I have a cold and there's stuff in my throat that is keeping me from singing. I really need to be able to sing tonight because it's the opening night of the Christmas concerts that I am in. (And I have 2 tomorrow!) Please help! I've exhausted everything I know to do! These are professional concerts and I really don't want to stick out because I can't control my voice! And I don't want to mouth it because then I might as well not be there.

Our school talent show is coming up in a couple of weeks, and I want to sing in it. Problem is, I have no clue what song to sing. I go to a really strict private school, so it has to be "appropriate." Also, I don't want to sing like an opera song or whatever, but I don't want to sing a really pop-py pop song. Any ideas?

How many of you deal with singing audition anxiety? In a performance or rehearsal situation, I'm fine, but when it comes to an audition, I become panicky, my stomach is in knots, my heart is palpitating ridiculously fast, I'm shaking, and my ears are ringing. It's some sort of panic attack, I'm sure, but I would love to hear how you deal with singing audition anxiety, especially since I have a VERY important audition coming up soon.

I have to make up my own baton routine to a song of my choosing... but I can't narrow down the number of songs I want to use! Do you have any suggestions for a song that I could make up a routine to? Keep in mind that it needs a decent tempo so that it doesn't drag.
Thanks!

I will start my lessons after the Holidays so my teacher told me to practice until then, but I don't know how. I search questions on how to do this and I found this answer:

"One good way is to play a note on the piano, and sing it for as long as you can. Use the same note over and over again (start with a note like the middle C, which is neither high nor too low) for at least a week, before you go on to the next one. Yes, it's VERY boring, and sounds so simple, but you'll notice that you never quite seem to keep the same note in one go - your voice will sound like the ocean - waves all around! This will help train your vocal chords AND your ears, which also play a very important part in your singing."

Will this really help? I tried doing this for about twenty minutes and I fly off pitch when I hold the note.
