Not usually. They are popular in Asia, but I think it's because they are so cheap there.

I'm sorry for my lack of technical terms ... cause I don't play the violin. But have you tried looking inside the holes that look sorta like an S? Usually there the brand is printed on a square piece of paper on the inside of the violin. Edit: Wow Thinker... wow...

I personally have never heard of that brand, but if you can afford it, the Stradivarius is the best.

I have one but I don't really like it. It seems really brittle and the sound is weird.
