We started writing screenplays and short stories as a hobby and now we just thought we'll take it one step further and produce our own feature (short film at first). I'll appreciate any insights, especially on the best way to raise funding; Is it possible/wise to be completely independent or is it best we work with sponsors/studios? Much obliged, you'll help in making some ambitious (slightly naive) dreams come true!!

I know this is an unusual question, but I don't think I could afford to buy a custom-made puppet (which I've heard costs well above $800) but I would like to see if I could make one. What would be needed and how would I go about doing it?

Additionally, if there is a cheap place to buy good quality, muppet-style puppets, I would surely like to see the site!

I attend a conservatory for voice. I am being trained in opera. I don't know if I truly have the talent to become successful in the future. Should I put a video of myself on youtube to find out? Some people give you compliments just to be nice. I need a reality check. People have said that I have a beautiful voice, yet I have doubts. To their ears it might sound good, but what about in the real world. Do I have great talent? How can I find out?

There is an episode of the Simpsons (I'm not sure which season or episode number/name) the family goes on a nature walk into a cave and fall through a hole. Homer is stuck and while Marge, Maggie and Bart go to find an exit, Lisa tells Homer a story. When Burns and the man from Texas are on a scavenger hunt, a song is played and from what I hear, it sounds like a string orchestra arrangement. It is also played at the end credits. If anyone knows the name or composer of this song, I would greatly appreciate it.

Was just wondering if anyone had any idea what the chords were for "jokerman" by bob dylan, as he performed it on the letterman performance in the mid 80's ('84 I think). Probably not the right place to ask this question, but i have looked EVERYWHERE on the net with no luck, all I can find is the regular studio version. Would this help? I start at low C and I go up as high as I can to a middle F, while trying to match the pitch. And I do that 123 thing (CEG, DFA,EGB). I practice for about 20 minutes. Is that enough? Will it make me have a stronger voiee or are there other exercises? I would ask my vocal teacher but she is out for all of January and Febuary.
