Which part are you playing?

Edit: why am I getting a thumbs down for that? It would help to know the character! I have taught this play for years in schools and seen it performed on stage several times!

It would also be helpful to know which monologue you are doing. I am presuming it will be Proctor and as his monologues are in court, he cannot move around much but can convey great emotion through voice, angle of head, shoulders etc. The main thing is to remember not to rush a monologue as it is a key point in the play - almost every word demands attention and you need to convey to your examiner that you understand the significance of what you are saying!

I am just a little puzzled though as to why you have left it so late to deal with your performance issues?

use a lot of expression in you face. The Crucible is a play, and theatre requires exagerated use of facial expressions for them to be seen at all haha Also, unless you were specifically told by a judge or your instructor not to do anything else except wring your hands, then you CAN do more! That's what an audition is, to show if you're the one they want for the part. So go ahead and walk a bit (NO PACING UNLESS THE PART CALLS FOR IT, it makes the audience dizzy haha), maybe crouch down at times, shake your head, wave your arms, or whatever you feel would suit your monologue best. However, there's a key rule to theatre acting, and that is to NEVER, NEVER turn your back on the audience, or judging panel in your case. also, put emotion into your acting. Don't act the character, BE the character, and do what you feel that person would do while speaking the monologue. Expression in your voice is VERY good. Good luck at your audition tomorrow! And get some sleep haha

Which Scene?Whose scene are you dramatising?

I would bear this in mind re Millers play when constrained by little body movement

Be vocally powerful using modulation [pitch, pose.pace and power].Use the minimum of movement and convey a still be melancholic. With this in mind you will be OK.Bye
