Write what's in your heart. Revise if you want to. Reading poetry will help you get a feel for it. Increase your vocabulary. A rhyming dictionary and a thesaurus are helpful. Just keep doing it and show it around. Try not to get too sensitive about it and have confidence.

i am no good at writing poetry either but ithink before you start you have to know what you are going to write about and it helps if you get a list of words ready so you can use them in a poem.only you know what type of poetry you want to write about good luck.

you should have something that inspires you. I find it hard to write poetry by just forcing myself, I need to get myself in a "mood"

hmm.. first be inspired to write. then think of something. a topic. if u want, use rhyme and meter. use figurative language, symbolism and u noe.. make it interesteing.
