According to pg 63, Betas wear "mulberry-colored" items. Gammas wear green. Why does Lenina wear green, then, if she is a Beta? And where in the book does it specifically state that she is a Beta?

I've read the first couple of chapters carefully and I can't seem to find it. I thought maybe it was one of those things where you had to infer from the text, but I still couldn't find it.

Anyway, it said that there were 300 of them, right, which would imply they were lower caste since they produced those clones to do the same thing (but it doesn't say the Fertilizers themselves are clones of each other), but wouldn't they have to be more intelligent than some of the other people? Which would mean a higher caste?

I've looked everywhere on the internet, can't find it.

Also, I asked a couple of other questions earlier about the book, but no one answered.

At the end of the story, it says "... and my stomach kind of fell as I felt how hard the world was going to be hereafter." What does this mean? Why would the world be hard for Sammy?

My paper is based on the book The History Of Mary Prince. Mary Prince was born into slavery in the Carribean. My paper is an analysis of this book. Here is my idea for a thesis, please give ANY suggestions. Thank you.

The History of Mary Prince led me to the idea that early European peoples, who came to the New World, felt the need to be in control. One of the ways this need for control was displayed was by slavery, the brutal treatment of the slaves, how the Europeans worked the slaves till near death, if not beyond that point, and finally the way white women treated the slaves.

To get an A in this class the thesis needs to be: clear, easy to understand and insightful.

I have through number nine or ten and I was wondering how many there are? I can't seem to find a list online.

Also, I am almost through the first book. I saw there is a movie. Does the movie with Kirk Cameron only cover the first book or does it cover the whole series? I don't want to watch it until I've read through all the books that the movie covers.
