Red riding Hood is the victim, damsel, protagonist and the wolf is the antagonist or the preditor.

Well, the wolf was supposed to be impersonating Grandma, when the red Riding Hood got there. Otherwise, Red Riding Hood's naive and he is a mischievous character.
