The book, Sybil: The Classic True Story of the Woman Possessed by Thirteen Personalities, by Flora Rheta Shrieber.

I'm taking an introductory psychology class in college. I want to read it but can't seem to find it in any bookstore.

It was a decent book,but I felt deceived when the author revealed that most of the facts were greatly exaggerated.

Check out the book about Trudi Chase titled 'When rabbit howls'.

To date,Trudi Chase has had the most complicated case of Dissociative Identity Disorder known to date.

I read it ages ago. Kind of dryly written, but the subject was so interesting that I liked it anyway.

Bookstores don't keep fiction shelved indefinitely unless it's still selling. However, Amazon has used copies starting at $2.99. There were hundreds of thousands in print, so a used bookstore, thrift shop, etc. is a likely place to find it even cheaper.

Yeah, but years and years ago. It may well be out of print, but ask if you can order it.
Another one you might like, also old but I only read it a few months ago, is When Rabbit Howls.
