Mine is definitely The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffeneger. Fairly recent but I have never felt so lost in a book. And I have read a lots of books and a lot of classics, I studied English at Uni!

Well, I had stopped reading books about 30 years ago right after I got out of college BUT a couple of years ago I started reading the Harry Potter books and I couldn't put them down until I finished each one of them so I'd have to say the Harry Potter books but back in college I read "Childhoods End" by Arther C. Clark and it was great once I got into it.

My most favourite book is " Pride and Prejudice ", by Jane Austen.

By the way, Susan E Hinton is the author of " Outsiders "

S.E. Hinton wrote The Outsiders.
She's a distant relative of my fiance, and I can always remember her name because her last name and his are the same lol.
It's my favorite book AND movie =)
She also wrote a great book that I just bought called Hawkes Harbor.

Other great books are Watchers and By The Light Of The Moon by Dean Koontz.

The Holy Bible.

In terms of fiction, I think I would have to say either Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, or Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens.
