In the Writer's Guide they mention agents who deal with "crime/police/detective" and "mystery/suspense." My book deals with a police detective who is trying to solve the mystery of who committed a crime (murder)! How do you think I should label my book's genre most accurately and succinctly?

Thanks!

I have these old hardcover books circa 1936 through 1956 some are in decent condition some are falling appart. I need to glue the binder with acid free glue since its falling off. However over the years the pages have turned yellow. How do i preserve a book or what can I store it in when not in use? Is there some form of acid free box that I can put it in? Is there anything to reverse the yellowing? Is there anything to avoid allowing the pages from yellowing and drying out even more?

thanks!

Can anybody help find the title of this book???
Many years ago (perhaps 25), I read a paperback novel that I'm trying to find.
It was about a girl who was abducted by a cult. The father began investigating and found that the cult leader was an expert in astral projection. The father then goes to a master who teaches the father all about astral projection.
The father tracks the cult leader and in a very supernatural ending, he does an astral projection battle with the cult leader, where they both inhabit inanimate objects around them and use the inanimate objects to do physical battle. If one can cut the other's 'silver threat' that connects the astral self to the physical body, the physical body that has been cut off will die. At one point, the cult leader, for example, inhabits a teddy bear and brandishes a knife to try to cut the astral connection of the father.
The cover of the old paperback had a teddy bear with glowing red eyes, holding a knife.

compilation of alot of things i thought about in my life..
a passage from a fictional story i made:..i saw what i saw only, there was no sky, spaces between leaves filled with colors not for the human eye.but my eye focused on the stream, and i was as it was.i gaze endlessly into the water, as phosphorescent as the flowers juxtaposing it with a glowing orange color..the harmonious melody that had been with me all this time transformed into the beautiful voice of a girl.not so much a girl as an angel. i can sense her presence behind be,i dare not look upon such a beautiful, beautiful creature.she bid me turn, and i did only to fall on my face in her glory.she knealt beside me with the softness of starlight and the grace of a butterfly, touching my shoulder.*and she spoke, once, andforever*"riseforyouandiareone, andall,Imortally, allisyours." I knew this and wept.i can berely recallthe song, but the truth remains in me
so what do you think, any good(forthatpart) should i continue in my endeavor

I was just reading F R Leavis's Mass Civilisation and Minority Culture and thinking how annoyingly elitist it is and I wonder if anyone else feels that culture now seems to exist in extremes? People are either elitist culture vultures who listening to nothing but classical music, read nothing but foreign books in translation and basically go for anything that is guarenteed not to have a wide audience or they are watchers of Big Brother, readers of The Da Vinci Code and listeners of whatever everyone else seems to be listening to. There seems to be very few people in the middle. What does anyone else think?

The book ends with Huck saying he's going to "light out for the Territory ahead of the rest." but there's a part of me that wonders if he won't decide to go back home to the Widow's with his friends.

**If you could write another chapter for the novel what would you have happen?

This is kind of a broad question. I think Ezra Pound was a genius, and I love his stuff, and I like TS Eliot, but I think Langston Huges has a rhythm that no one can touch. When I was a young kid my mom used to read me Ogden Nash, whose light verse is actually really good for kids.
