I have the answer for you - definitely free (both sites I'm about to tell you about) and enormous libraries from which to choose. Project Gutenberg is the place for free public-domain books of all sorts. In addition, if you would like to listen to the books in addition to reading them, or maybe instead of reading them with your eyes, then in addition to Project Gutenberg, Librivox is your answer.
