Good luck with that. I've heard nothing but negatives about Publish America. Check out Preditors and Editors - they say Publish America is a scam. Link below. (Scroll down to Publish America's listing.)
Here's what the Better Business Bureau had to say:
Concerning PublishAmerica, the BBB of Greater Maryland, Inc. has declared as of 2/20/05 that, "Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to a pattern of complaints. Complaints generally allege lack of promotion of authors' books and inaccurate record keeping with respect to books sold and commissions due. The company has responded to most complaints but has not responded to others. The number of complaints increased during 2004."

No. Publish America is basically a printing house that is REALLY great at marketing--to hopeful authors, that is.
If you want to self-publish your book, (which is all that PublishAmerica does anyways,) check out Lulu, CafePress, or Instant Publisher. They will charge you per book, with no up-front fees. Otherwise, keep querying agents or editors who will pay YOU upon publication, not the other way around!
Google "Miss Snark" and read everything she has to say. She is a literary agent and God's gift to aspiring writers. Good luck!

I went and had a look at their website, and they almost look too good to be true. The one negative thing I noticed is that they do not mention how they intend to promote your book. Then I read what Sally said above!
If I were you I would ask them how they intend to promote your book. Remember, the media call the shots when it comes to book promotion and you have to have something very unique indeed before radio, TV etc will show any interest.
When my book was launched the media showed great interest, but without all the radio and newspaper coverage I don't know how the news of the release would have got out.
Check out www.absolutewrite.com the forum is a mine of information for writers and if this company is in any way lacking you will find out there.

If you have to pay for publication, you are simply paying for publication. They will not get your book into stores and they will not sell your book for you. You'll have to do that for yourself or end up with expensive doorstops.
If your book is any good, I suggest you get the Children's Writers and Illustrators Market and find out who is accepting children's books and how to submit them.

Soon, you should be getting email coupons offering a good deal on advance copies of your book to buy.

Other publishers get a check upfront, wait to see if the check clears, and drop the whole print run on your doorstep.

Maybe you can try these:
http://www.walkerbooks.com/
http://www.peachtree-online.com/
http://www.panmacmillan.com/Imprints/CAMPBELL%20BOOKS/?Imprint=PA Campbell is a PanMacmillan Imprint and it should be noted that: Please note that Pan Macmillan do not accept unsolicited manuscripts.
This DOES NOT mean they do not accept unagented ms. It means you MUST query first before submitting to them, only.
