I am looking for a book with an indian character named something like tanommy, or tanami...something like that...I don't know the spelling or the story...but I was told that my future stepson was named from this book...the book was read between 1970-1995, Unfortunatly I have no other information....it was just a book with an indian named something like tanomy...sounds like tommy but with an "n"....like ton-nom-mie....ugh...maybe you have read this????? It may have been read in school...Sorry if this is confusing.

www.oyate.com reviews books with Native American characters. Check their list, or email them. I can't think of a place that would know more about native american literature. Was it a kid's book or a novel?

So I searched all around to try to find this book, and I couldnt find it, everywhere I looked said that the name you were looking for was Japanese, not Indian, but what I would do is go to the library nearest you and tell them your story, search flea markets, things like that, if you cant go to the library call them up and see what advice they can give you, if they dont have the book then maybe they can point you in the right direction where it can be found.

If you find out the name you can look for it on google, ebay, google store, yahoo and yahoo store. Amazon will also have it, it is going to be difficult to find without the name though, sorry I wasn't much help.
