.....and somehow I find the going rather slow. Can anyone suggest a better alternative from the fantasy genre? I usually finish a book in one or two days but I'm losing steam with this one, and on an unbelievable 6th day!

Is Dumbledore's brother Aberforth the barman in The Hogs Head? 'Cause listen to this :
"The barman sidled tward them out of a back room. He was a grumpy-looking old man with a great deal of long gray hair and beard. He was tall and thin and looked vaguely familiar to Harry."
That was from Order of the Phoenix, at the first meeting of the DA.

Why would he look familiar?
I think that was one of those things that JKR just slips in, and you usually don't notice, but it ends up beeing important.

I heard that Aberforth is gonna be an important character in the last book.

What d'you think? Am I on to something, or am I just extremely bored?

I remember that it involved a secluded lake and that the boy feeds the cubs, after their mother gets poached, by fishing and leaving the fish in a pile by the lake. He raises them for an entire summer up until they go into hibernation, which he has to teach them to do.

I don't read a whole lot of fiction, but really enjoyed "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I thought it was original and very witty...I especially liked the humor.

Can you recommend any other books from the fantasy genre that you've personally enjoyed?

Suggesting authors is okay, but I find specific book titles helpful as some of the authors have huge amounts of books to choose from.

about a girl who goes to camp for the first time (13 yr old) because her parents wouldn't let her go before because they were too worried and overprotective. when she gets to camp, shauna (never met her b4) tells her a tale of a boy going to an island (near the camp) in the middle of the night, and NEVER coming back, and no one knows what happened to him.

The girl, in her attempt to win a friend back and spend some 1 on 1 time with her, imitates the boy and they set off to go to the island together the SAME WAY that the boy did.

Wow, there is SO much more to my story, but I kind of want my title to reflect off of one of these things, or the fact that this is her first time at summer camp and that she never gets any adventure due to her overprotective, worrysome parents.

So...any ideas???

SONNET 18
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.

1 - The subject of "Sonnet 18" has been immortalized by:
a - the speaker's love.
b - the children they have had.
c - the sonnet.
d - his memories.

2 - The purpose of a couplet in a Shakespearean sonnet is to:
a - set the tone.
b - conclude and highlight meaning.
c - Both.
Thx!

From the beginning of the speech every one should have realized that it was fraudulent, but if they didn't then they should have at least questioned the Dauphin when he says that "...although it would take him a long time to get there without money, he would get there anyway, and every time he convinced a pirate he would say to him: 'Don't you thank me, don't you give me no credit; it all belongs to them dear people in Pokeville camp-meeting, natural brothers and benefactors of the race, and the dear preacher there, the truest friend a pirate ever had!"(117). First of all, this so called "changed man" is new in town so he, therefore, has not even an idea of who he's talking so pretentiously about. Second of all, the town people should see straight through the man's lies and see that he wanted money, especially when he mentioned that he had none in such a sincere yet conspicuously dishonest manner. But once again, Twain satirizes the gullibility of
