What is the name of the book about a boy who wears a bear skin and raises two bear cubs?

I remember that it involved a secluded lake and that the boy feeds the cubs, after their mother gets poached, by fishing and leaving the fish in a pile by the lake. He raises them for an entire summer up until they go into hibernation, which he has to teach them to do.

Well I was thinking at first that it might be "The Jungle Book," but now i'm thinking that the story you're talking about could be "Bearskin" by Howard Pyle...it's a children's story. Age range 5-8. So i'm not sure if that's what you're talking about, but you can check it out on barnes and noble. Hope this helps some. :)
