the man on the broom in halfbloodprince is surely killed by snape, but if he wasnt dumbledore ?! i think he (i should say she) was Tanks and she has changed himself to dumbledore and dumbledor too, i mean some kind of sacrifice has Tanks done. and i think this is the only chance for dumbledor to be alive

I read this cool book in 6th grade, I only remember some details...This boy somehow enters a portal to this mysterious world/realm at the beginning--it has strange things like trolls/magic/etc...He was running from someone. At some point, he has to run across this giant chess board-battle field. He eventually meets a girl with apparently the same destiny, they both have strange marks on their palms. They wonder through this world...at one point they climb this big tower for some artifact they need, I believe at that point there were trolls or creatures after them...eventually at the end, they reach the sea shore and turn into seals or some type of animal and swim off, that being their destiny. I may have mixed some details with more then one book, but its the best I can do....anyone with any ideas?? I know it sounds weird!

When I was young, my mother had this book that I think was called "Apples of Gold". There was a poem that I liked..

Today my world has ended
My heart no longer sings
I fold my pride about me
As angels fold their wings

I don't know if that's exactly how it went but it's pretty close. I've remembered that poem all these years but I have no idea who wrote it..do you?

I read a romance book a while back but I can't remember the title or the author who wrote the book. But I do remember that the main characters were named Anne and Griffin. Anne was the daughter of the maid that worked for Griffin's family. Griffin started to protect Anne after she witnessed a bank robbery...sound familiar to anyone?

I remeber when they were talking about SK's book in the DT series, that they specifically told Roland to ignore Insomnia....i dont get why though, i just read the book and i think it has a lot to do with the DT...

I thought that Harry would defeat Voldemort because he has his mother's blood in him which Voldemort doesn't understand (old magic which he never bothered to learn about/study, thus doesn't know how to fight it)....but then I realized that Voldemort could have some of Harry's blood (with Lilly's blood) sort of in him because the concoction that Wormtail prepared in the graveyard scene of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire" had Harry's blood in it. And when Wormtail poured Harry's blood into the cauldron, the liquid turned a blinding white, showing the purity of the love Lilly gave. Does this mean that Harry's blood is IN Voldemort? So much of the book deals with blood, whether Lilly's love in Harry's blood, or being "pure blood" or "mud blood". Does this make sense? This is one of my rambling thoughts, what do you think?
