The difference is the self conscious adults who feel the need to have an "adult" cover on the book. Nothing else. Actually, if you are an adult, and feel you have to have an adult cover on your book, or people might make fun of you, it just shows you aren't really grown up. After all, you are reading, they aren't, or mustn't be if they have the time to notice and comment on a person's book cover.

Maybe a lot of People die in the next one....

(Just Kidding)

I know no one likes to think that. But J.K. Rowling has kids, maybe she was think of how as a motehr she would like her kids to be listening or reading about dead scary spiders, and large trolls bashing peoples heads in. To tell you the truth the only way you would find that out is to read both editions.

I wasn't aware that there was an adult edition and children's edition, and I've been a crazy hp fangirl for some years now. My strongest guess would be that it would have strong language.

No difference. Just different covers so it doesn't look like a kiddy book... Tsk, tsk. Adults.
