Well, now. That's an interesting way to do research! But how do you verify whatever anyone tells you? How do you quote sources - and that's an important part of a research paper? Better do a little researching on your own. It's quite easy -- just type Hemingway into your search engine and you can pick and choose the facts that will be revealed.

If you are an American you might find this topic interesting... How about comparing America's involvement and reactions to the Iraqi war with America's involvement and reaction to Vietnam/Korea? You could compare Presidents, reasons and justifications for the American involvement, reactions worldwide, military tactics (American Vs both Viet Cong and Iraqi troops), Political climates in each country, civilian and military reactions.. and how they change or evolve over time. You could interview people who were actually in Vietnam or Iraq ask them for their perspective.. you could find out what people who were in Vietnam thinks about the Second Iraqi war. You could look into what were the motivating factors in each (Not just 9/11 but other tensions IE religion, natural resources, differing political views etc.) That's just a few ideas on one topic that I had without really thinking about it, imagine what you could come up with with some thought! If you do tackle this topic though, try to be impartial.. try to leave all prejudgements behind and try to look at it from the standpoint of a neutral person be Switzerland! Don't make any conclusions until your conclusion!! Good luck with your assignment

he had writers block and became depressed, he was given electroshock therapy which affects the creative part of the brain so the cure actually exacerbated his problem and this led to his suicide.
he is an awesome writer, his prose stlye is innovative due to his mastery of ironic understatement.
this prose style provokes readers to feel or react because he writes objectively and will not tell readers how to react, for example, in one of his short stories he is describing some war torn place where body parts are floating in the water and a torturer as pleasant business and the brutal man as a pleasant chap...
he does not say this guy was cruel and the carnage was horrific, so readers will react and think that guy is a jerk, that place sounds like hell because the prose style of Hemingway provokes this reaction

He always wanted to be a ballet dancer but an ankle injury at age 18 led him to turn his energies to writing novels instead. He was especially fond of Russian ballet and was suspected of spying on America for the Russians during WWII, and it is also rumored that he was gay and that Tchaikovsky, the composer of Swan Lake and the Nutcracker Suite, was his lover.

Old Man and the Sea deals with man versus nature where many of his other works deal with disillusionment. His writing is very descriptive, painting a picture of a world many overlook. He is credited with popularizing the running of the bulls in Pamplona.

Ernest Hemingway had lots of cats; they were particularly interesting because many of them were polydactyls, meaning they had extra toes on their feet! Their descendants still live around his home on Key West, Florida.
