I love Jane Austen's writing, all but one feature. Her resolutions (the end of the story) seem to lack the strong feeling and emotion that built up so much of the storyline. It seems like such an insipid ending to such a rich plot. Is it just a Victorian thing?

I have a copy of The Scourge of the Swastika that is linen bound, and indicates that it is the 11th Edition from 1955. Trying to find out if it may be worth anything. Just not sure how to go about it.

I love reading survival stories; they are some of my favorite. Can anyone recommend any good ones? (For adults) I like stories about surviving in the wilderness, stranded on an island, end of the world, run for your life, alien invasions, deadly disasters, survival in just about every aspect. This has been my favorite since I was a kid and read Robinson Crusoe, The Swiss Family Robinsons, and The Hatchet.

Also if anyone has movie suggestions in these same type of genres. I would really appreciate it! I seem to have watched them all!
