I don't mean philosophical questions or such, I mean ones that have definite canon answers, or require some speculation bases solely on what we know from the books and JK herself.

I'd like to know what is involved in writing (besides the obvious)? Is there much of a cost? How do you find a reputable publisher, and what is the cost involved with going through a publisher?

When I was younger I'd write short stories sometimes, but I think I threw them out because of running out of ideas. And I want to get back into it again. Is it really something that's worth it? I'm actually not much of a reader at all myself, unless it's something I write, and from browsing other questions I saw a few people suggested reading other books about writing...not something I'm interested in. So far what I have going for me is good grammar and spelling, and my ideas are usually more on the creepy side...Psycopathic killer type thing. So if I wanted to go in that route, would it be good to find a move bio on a serial killer, or should I just go with the ideas in my head?

All i know about it, is that it has a girl called Anna in it, who was always questioning everything around her, who always spoke her mind and said things just as she meant them, no matter how politically incorrect they may seem.

Ive been looking all over for this book....I´d reeeeally appreciate any help you could give me on this one. Thank you! =D

my mom asked me to compile my Christmas list. I LOVE to read and I need some good book suggestions please. I am a very advanced reader. I enjoy fantasy, sci-fi, and historical fiction. ( in order) It can be a classic. I hate romance and mudane books about teenagers and there lives (like Sweet Valley high) and that stuff. Please keep in mind that I read at an adult reading level.

I mean an episode form "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck, I thought George's cruel & cold-blooded when I read how he killed Lennie, it had such an impact that I decided I wouldn't read Steinbeck any more. Please share your ideas so that I can read him again, thanks.

I would have to say mine is Robert Louis Stevenson because he wrote two of my favorite books, "Treasure Island" and "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"... but I also really like Alexandre Dumas' "Count of Monte Cristo".
