I'm trying to write a poem for a girl in my class that I like.
But I'm having trouble starting it.
I was hoping to finish it with the question "would you go out with me?" as cliche as that sounds.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to start it so i can just get a good flow going ?
or any tips ?

Someone is offering on the internet a supposedly authentic autograph of the celebrated reclusive American writer and poet, Linda J Cirillo. How will I be able to verify it if I were to make an offer and how much is her autograph actually worth?

I love that book, and I can not understand why the heck it would be banned. Most of the little things that I've strained to find that could possibly be "bad" are stupid and kids wouldn't get them anyway.

And how many of you love the Christopher Snow trilogy. Do you think Dean Koontz will ever complete the third book?

Sami’s Memory

A memento of her memory
transformed to coldness to convey
all the warmth in the world
tenderness that will forever stay

The innocent scent of first love
Places in five cities forever still
As though our spirits play in time
In the divinity of free will

My head against her heart
silences the singing sands
Gives her a chance to build inside
a world where we will forever dance

the first scent will be the last
white envelope of new perception
to my daily Christening
In the warm water reception

the poetry in me still harvested
from a soul planted in the earth
of a time when all is forgiven
in the miracle of rebirth

Grayness

Feelings innate and unexplainable
Fall in the rain, an unwelcome gift
Making the world an unbearable gray
I always thought I would celebrate
Now, the ambiguity of gesture
marked by the innocence of her gaze
My fuzzy eyes seeking hope in the haze
longing for the rebirth of the rainbow
For strangers could be anything
From saviors to Satans
When the forever fog lifts
over the oceans of coveted sleep,
Will unquestioned trust and unrequited love
Be given so unabashedly?
Yes.

Pregnant

Impregnate me with the seed of inspiration
Wild flowers that wilt in my womb
could be anything if you’d allow
become fertile pieces of denial
My fingers give a bitter lonely birth
Of never knowing human touch
Renounce our offspring as mine alone
Loveless love children I long to give your name.

I hope to become an author someday. i guess you could say that it is sort of "my dream". My main influences are Stephen King. Dean Koontz is okay, but for some reason i can't really get into his writing. Another good author is Bentley Little, although you probably haven't heard of him.

Now my story is called "A Knock At The Door". it is about a small neighborhood who come into contact with a mysterious door to door salesman.
He terrorizes and threatens them if they refuse the strange policies that he is selling. wait a minute, i've already said enough. if your interested contact me, and I'll e-mail you my story. my email is sobeninja9090@yahoo.com

Would anyone have an idea of what a typical 'sign on' bonus would be? When a publisher decides to go with a writer, what's a typical amount the writer's given?...

Many people claim that books have changed their lives. For you, what was the book that you fully read and understood and noticed that it had an effect on your life? What book made you want to change for the better? What book made you realize the meaning of life? What book changed you as a whole?

My husband has notebooks laying around the house with his writings in. Not organized and with a 3 & 5 year old who like to color in them. I want to find some type of journal that he can write in that is not so stuffy looking. Any ideas on where to find some?

If so, could you mention your favorite book, or movie about it. My favorite book is the Mists of Avalon, by Marion Zimmer Bradley, and though there's a movie based upon it, I prefered the one named "Merlin", starring Sam Neil.

I love the wasy S.E Hinton wrote it. It's such a great story. I love how she described everything. You feel like you really know the characters. It's so sad though, but that's part of what makes it great.

I have written a book, called The Dragon Lords, before I finish the publishing process i was wondering how many people would read this sort of thing, here is a bit of what it is about:

A knight, Sir Stewart Richards, is sent on a journey by the king of Olmec to kill an evil dragon named Morlak, he is accompanied by the great spell caster Maryinda (with whom he falls in love) when he battles Morlak, he finds that he too is a dragon and Morlak is just one of 6 elemental dragons, Morlak, Ongra, Shararo (William), Horan, and as I said Richards....

Well that is all I will let out, and no that isn’t the end, I didn’t tell the end, so how many of you will read it?
