Someone is offering on the internet a supposedly authentic autograph of the celebrated reclusive American writer and poet, Linda J Cirillo. How will I be able to verify it if I were to make an offer and how much is her autograph actually worth?

Personally I would only pay say £20 ($40) for it as she is not very famous. I would only buy it if I wanted to own it as I am unsure about it's resale ability. The rarity of the autograph will increase the value but the comparative obscurity of this author compared to say Dickens or Terry Pratchett will limit what people will pay.
There are some auctioneers who have specialists in autographs and would give you a far more accurate guess that I can.
Ask yourself what is this worth to me? Do I want it or do I just think of it as an investment? I would always pay more for something I really want than something I am buying as a bargain or a nest egg.

can't blame the undesirable twiglet for paying for philosophical. It must be effective to entice close a reclusive poet. on each and every occasion i'm down, all I have is the pissed tramp on a thanks to the station, provide him 2 quid and also you get a chorus of a garbled limerick in a Glaswegian accessory followed with the help of a moist fart and an insult at the same time as being hailed with the help of a can of particular brew. All of which i hit upon spiritually liberating.
