It would be great if the book had a picture of all the different parts of a truck with their names written next to it. I can oly find similar books for cars, i need it for trucks only.

What sort of thought processes do you go through and what planning do you put into it to develop the story/characters etc?
Or are there people out there who just write and see where the story/characters lead?
Thanks.

YESTERDAY'S NEWS

you sat on the sofa with your coffee and your cat.
it was so simple then - we didnt know what had happened
I looked over your shoulder - I read the headlines that
took my breath away.

She was murdered on the 17th of May
and found on muddy patches of earth,
only 24 and all to live for and then they took her away
from this chaotic life.

You started to wail and then some more,
so I came closer to the page
to stare at the print - it was still so bloody raw,
when I saw my name in type.

It was me that died last night.
Then I looked at you but you never saw me
I began to touch you with all my might
no sensations could you feel.

I sat there with you until you slept
I didnt realise I was dead
I couldnt talk to you - I felt inept.
The cat stared at me.....and we both realised that I was dead.

I recently found out that I'm addicted to books on tape/CD (and they are a great way to stay awake on the ride home!). I need suggestions on excellent authors and character series on CD I can check out at my local library. I tried self help and satire, but it seems like mystery/thrillers keep my attention best. Thanks to all for your answers in advance!

I love looking through the Books & Authors section, especially for the question that inevitably repeats itself many times throughout each day, "What are some good books to read?" I am always looking for new books, and this is a great place to find suggestions.

Almost every time that question is posted, someone suggests Harry Potter. I've read all of the Harry Potter books and loved them, but what is the point in suggesting that people read them when most of the population already has?

Usually I like to read novels for school but this book is really boring...

Another question:
If you have read it, did you enjoy it? Why or why not?
