While cleaning out my attic, I found an autographed copy of Mein Kampf. I asked my Grandfather (a WWII veteran) about where he found it and he siad he picked it off of a german soldier. Do you have any idea on the value of this book? I would also like to know when it would best to sell.

Hi!

Do you know any good literary agents/agencies in the UK or in the US who are accepting scriptwriters, too?

Found in a children's encyclopedia [possibly "The Children's Book of Knowledge"] circa late 1950's or early 1960's. This volume was for stories and poetry. I would love to find the whole set of books. Can anyone help?

For years, I have written poetry. It started when I was living up in isolation in the Rocky mountains, working for various hotels as a cook and server. My wife was with our son, living at her parent's house. Anyway, I recently started looking seriously into publication. I have already been accepted by various websites and journals. Having been nominated by ILOP twice for the national award in America and I am not even American, I was quite pleased with myself.

Now maybe my ego needed a reality check, but for three months, I simply got rejected working off a list of email submissions and a magazine on literature. I strongly suggest staying away from Reuter's list and the magazine, 'American Writers'. The Reuter's list consists of elitist editors who don't pay a dime, have little exposure of influence in the industry.

I was harassed by a man from Ampelsand journal, who told me I was being defrauded & used, that my poetry was no good. I was just accepted by 2 mags & major co.

A few years ago I read a book by an award-winning Caribbean author. Unfortunately I don't remember much except an older Cuban (??) couple that had been in Angola during the pre-independence struggle and maybe post-independence (1975). They either owned or managed or stayed in a hotel near the city center. Would anyone be able to tell me the name of the author or the book? If not, is there some sort of search engine that might help me find this information?

It wasn't the foreskin of Jesus was it? For some reason, I think it was his mother. I read it a year or two ago and I am completely drawing a blank, it is driving me mad.

I will be back packing through (mostly western, rural) China for about a month followed by a couple months in SE Asia. Would love any novel recommendations, but especially those that deal with the intersection of the traditional and modern in these countries. And "The Beach" is already in my bag ;)

I have a group of 4 teenage girls (13-15 in age) set in a pretentious New Hampshire all girls private boarding school for rich and wealthy. Set in current day, I'd appreciate some suggestions for first and last names and also a nickname for each girl.

Thanks, Melissa
