I believe the best known ones are: Michael, Gabriel, & Raphael. Lucifer was the fourth major archangel, but "he" fell from grace.

You surely mean Archangels, since you list Michael as one. There are nine levels of angels listed in some books on the occult. Michael and Gabriel are two Archangels, and I think Lucifer was one before he rebelled. Gabriel will blow the Last Trump, and Michael threw down Lucifer. Cherubim, seraphim. dominions, powers, principalities, thrones and mere angels are other types of angels. I've listed eight, but I cannot recall the 9th type now. If I do recall it, I'll add it to the list.

Who wrote it? Jesus Christ When was it written? Almost a million years ago. What is the biblical literature? There is a heavy use of conceits(strong metaphors) that make up the entirety of the story. Should we read this story literally or contextually? You should read this like you would read Seuss. What is the religious significance of this story? Jesus loves animals but doesn't like humans who don't like animals so animals live and only one human because animals can't build boats. How does it relate to other stories? This story is just about as ridiculous as anything else you'll find in the Bible.

They were the angels who guarded the Ark of the covenant. They are not the same as the archangels.

That's "Archangels".
Uriel, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael. They correspond with the four element and the four cardinal directions. They have nothing to do with Lucifer, unlike some ninnies on here are telling you.

Michael is actually a combination of two words. Makh wich means like and Ael which means God. He is like God. That's why he's considered the "arch-angel." Raphael is the Healing of God. Samael is the Venom of God aka the angel of death. Gabriel is the Strength of God. etc.
Satan is incorrect. Samael had the title of of "satan" which meant adversary. Satan wasn't his actual name.
