I love looking through the Books & Authors section, especially for the question that inevitably repeats itself many times throughout each day, "What are some good books to read?" I am always looking for new books, and this is a great place to find suggestions.
Almost every time that question is posted, someone suggests Harry Potter. I've read all of the Harry Potter books and loved them, but what is the point in suggesting that people read them when most of the population already has?

Me! I did watch the films. They are ok. I might read the books when she has completed the whole serie. But maybe not. i mean, they are quite big, and there are other authors I'm more interested in reading (French, English, and American classics, for instance).
I did read Tolkien trilogy (and also Bilbo the Hobbit). they were fun. Just to show I like different genres. But there really are A LOT of HP books!

I have not read them, although i intend to when I get around to it.
Along with Eragon and The Eldest. And a book about someone called Septimus Heap? or something. ( I think the book is called Magyk) And a bunch of others. My daughter keeps coming home from school with all these books that I want to read! It's kind of scary!! lol

Try some Terry Goodkind books, the first in an amazing series is called 'Wizards First Rule'.
Incompetence by Rob Grant (one of the guys that wrote 'Red Dwarf') was a read in one sitting book for me.
If it's fantasy that you like you could try Terry Pratchet's discworld novels, loads of them and i haven't found a bad one yet.
The 'Dragonlance' books are really popular too, but i haven't read them yet.

I've seen the films, and I think that once you've seen the film, you cant really get into the book. It would be a bit like watching the movie mean girls and then reading the book version, it just wouldnt be as good.

I haven't because I can't get the original English versions and they sound so phony in American.
