What are some of you favorite and least favorite adaptations (i.e. 2006 version of Pride & Prejudice was great because..., etc.)? What is your background (i.e. student, teacher, average Joe, etc.)? Why are some books bestsellers on, say, the New York Times' list and not on Publishers Weekly? And why are the ranks of some books different of the various lists?

I loved reading the series, but then around the third book the sexism became too much for me. Why are the women treated as objects? All of the main male characters and ther significant other(s) treat women like crap!

I need to know the title of a book that was written for children. The age of the book I am not certian about, but it was about a town where when it rained it rained all sorts of different food on different days.

The illustrations were delightful as well. Very detailed and in color.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm going to write a romance novel and I need some good ideas. Not plots, or anything like that, but uhhh. (I'm sort of embarrassed asking this) kissing scenes. I've never really been good at writing kissing scenes, no matter how hard I try. What are some things I should mention during a kissing scene?

Like the title says, I'm an aspiring writer and I was wondering how to find an editor. I have tons of notebook paper with what I've written, and I'll probably transfer it to my computer one of these days. I would like to find someone, I'm guessing this is the job of an editor, who will give me a read and let me know if I should pursue something further with what I have written. Any ideas??
