It has the phrase "sails unfurled" also "gravestone(s)" and is about the regrets a man has for not having done more things in life. I have been looking for this for almost five years. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It was about a girl who went off to college & she started figuring out that there were students & teachers there who were werewolves. She was investigating and ended up at one of their houses & finding a map w/star patterns...they were alien werewolves. I believe there were several books in this series I read them around 1991 or 1993 any info would be greatly appriciated!
