I loved reading the series, but then around the third book the sexism became too much for me. Why are the women treated as objects? All of the main male characters and ther significant other(s) treat women like crap!

It's not that Jordan is sexist, but rather that he has only one stereotype that the women fall into, while the men fall into several different stereotypes. All the important women are innocent, yet they are also bossy and overly hasty in their decisions. It's a stereotype more than sexism.

Its just a book, best not to read too much into it (no pun intended) just read it for the story, perhaps maybe the sexism is part of the plot or maybe that's just how the world that the book is set in is.
