I just found out that Ed Mcbain died in 2005! This really saddened me as he was one of my favorite authors and I was looking forward to his next novel of the 87th precinct. If you read his books, which were your personal favorites or which one(s) stick out in your memory the most?? The ones with the Deaf Man, Mischief, Money, Money, Money, and the Frumious Bandersnatch were some of my favorites.

I'm a writer and have a great idea for my latest book that I've recently started, but just can't seem to figure out what comes next in the book! What do you do when you get writer's block?

They must be characters of FICTION and originally from BOOKS, not movies. They can be any three characters from any three or two books or even the same book. Who do you think would make a good combo for the most interesting discussion over tea and cookies and why?
For example, think what it'd be like to invite Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot, and Sam Spade (from "The Maltese Falcon") over.
Or Alice (from "Alice in Wonderland"), Dorothy (from "Wizard of Oz"), and Fern (from "Charlotte's Web").

I recently finished The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood and I loved it. I think that Atwood is like a poet in prose. I am now reading The Blind Assassin by her and its very confusing. I'm not quite sure how its going to turn out. I wanted to know what you thought about the whole book. And please don't give away what happens as I still want to find out for myself.

Is there a way to get some one to publish my poetry in a book? Or do I have to make my name made for myself first? What would I have to do to get a book with all my poetry is what I'm basically wanting to know.

I have read the Mists of Avalon, and I absolutely loved it, and I LOVE T.A. Barron but I'm at that age where some young adult books seem to easy, while some adult books seem too hard, or just plan slow in my oppion. I'm looking for an adult fantasy book to read, but I want it to be fast pace, or at least a great page turner. So if anyone has any suggestion I would be greatful to have them!
