I've read all his books and find them really interesting and mentally stimulating. And the characters are really nice people too, even the so-called villians. The book though is not as riveting as the Da vinci code or angels and demons. It might have some grain of truth into it, though it's fiction so maybe some of the facts might have been sensationalised. But from the recent issues and exposes on the US govt.'s wiretapping and access to internet communications, maybe it's not so farfetched after all.

It has the same plot, the same theme, the same schema, and the same characters as the rest of his books!
Start with a murder, then the story, a beautiful, smart, red-hair woman, and a smart attractive man who's related to the Academic life and solves codes. She has a relationship with a powerful organization, and he gets involved. There's always a killer, a professional one, to go after them. some deaths. And at the end, the betrayer is the one whom they trust most!
There was good parts in the book, the Japanese war victims. The control over the net, some original thoughts as the first book of Dan Brown. The sample book of his works, take it, analyze it, then you won't need to take a look on the rest of Brown's books to explain everything about his skills and characteristics as a novelist.

I've read all of Dan Brown's books, and Digital Fortress is, by far, the WEAKEST out of all his works.

Loved it! I think Dan Brown is a fantastic author, although the quality of his writing is sometimes obscured by his controversial subject matter. If you enjoy him try Steve Berry next...The Amber Room and The Romanov Prophecy are both excellent.

I read all of his books and I think even though it could never compete with The Da Vinci Code or Angels and Demons, it is a decent book

first - i like dan brown's writing style and his books - however, as i am in the industry, i found this book a little hoaky at times - maybe a little too much "man from uncle" or MI, if you know what i mean.

So so. Dan Brown' style of writing and storytelling is not as mature as some of the other popular writers.

Good Book, parts of it are a little far fetched but that's kinda the point. I liked deception point too.
