Can anyone guess the answer to this riddle?

Voiceless it cries,
Wingless flutters,
Toothless bites,
Mouthless mutters.

What is it?

I am looking for characters in books that I might have read during the 40s or 50s as a young girl. They could have all sorts of beards.

People always talk about Stephen King, I find Stephen King books boring. I find Leonards books to be fun and exciting, though someone told me recently that his college professor specifically told them to stay away from Elmore Leonard book because they were trash.

I read a book almost 20 years ago in grade school/middle school about two teenagers who developed psychic powers after a close encounter with an alien spaceship. They had to help a much younger third child who was running away from government agents. It was probably in the young adult science fiction section. Any ideas?

Your quick answer would surely be a no but what if the content of the book is different from the other book that first used that title? For example, I want to use the title "The Red Dress" and it is about murder while the other "Red Dress", which was written by a different writer, is about fashion.

I can't seem to find a website that explains the rules of book publishing.
