I think its some of the things that dumbledore was showing harry.in the latest book (harry potter and the half blood prince) . Some of those shiny objects that voldemort adored. I dont think it has anything to do with the mirror. I think they are objects like one of them was a book! Something you can hold in your hand.

A Horcrux is a magical object created through the use of the Dark Arts by evil witches or wizards who wish to avoid death. To do so, they conceal part of their soul within an object — the Horcrux — that is usually hidden away in a safe location.
Thus protected, they become immune to death while it exists. Even if their bodies are destroyed, part of their soul remains earth-bound and undamaged. However, the destruction of the creators' bodies leaves them in a state of half-life, "lesser than the meanest ghost". Lord Voldemort was left in this state when his attempted use of a Killing Curse on Harry Potter backfired upon himself.[HP1]
Horcruxes are vulnerable, as is seen with Tom Riddle's Diary[HP2] and Marvolo Gaunt's ring[HP6]. Destruction of the Horcrux destroys the fragment of soul contained within it, ending the protection it provides, and rendering the creator mortal.
Even though Dumbledore confirmed that others created one before, Lord Voldemort is the only wizard explicitly mentioned as having created a Horcrux, and he is the only wizard known to have created more than one, thus going "further than anybody along the path that leads to immortality."

Knowing how J.K. Rowling likes to make a common item become important, one of the horcruxes is going to become obvious to everyone but the "bad guys". And I'd bet that Hermione is going to be the one to realize that whatever it is, is indeed, a horcrux.
