Mine? Eliz. Browning's famous sonnet:

"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways..."

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with a passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! --- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

- Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861)

I work in broadcasting, specifically news and audio production. I'm thinking that reading books on tape might be a good career move, or possibly a sideline.

I just received a couple of books as a gift that I'd like to keep for a while. I seem to remember once receiving a lesson on the appropriate way to open a hardcover book for the first time. As I recall, we are supposed to open the book a few pages at a time. However, I can't remember whether we started in the center or at the outside. Could you give me some advice?

I like to think on a big scale. Is there a certain place you like to travel to, when you need inspiration? I abolutely love Great Britian--but sitting by the window is nice too. What's your favorite place?

I read this book in about 1974 when I was at Primary School in England, it was already pretty old. It also contained a second story called Idle's Island about kids who get stranded on a mysterious island populated by intelligent model ships. The Chowry's Tail was about the same kids who went off in a gypsy caravan pulled by a Yak. I think. I have searched since the internet began and have not given up yet.

I know that my talent is writing, but I'm not sure what kind of living I can make from that. When I go to college in three years, what kind of degree should I get? What kind of demand is there for jobs like these?
