well i began writing some years ago, they say (my friends) i write pretty good and they have also told me that my poems express my sad feeling i have ever got out, so lets say my poems, if they can be called liked that, expresses my sadness. I like to write but i cant read them out loud.

I love writing poetry and have done so for several years. I suppose you could say it helps me explore my own psyche. Sometimes I get a flash of inspiration, then I completely end up someplace else. Sitting down quietly and writing poetry is a kind of meditation and it could be used to "find your real self." Of course, you have to be honest with your writing to do that. Some people sit down with the purpose of showing a dark side or quirky side, but aren't true to themselves. They just want to get a reaction from others. However, if you are in a bad mood or want to show a little darkness in your personality, then do so, just be honest about it. Poetry is a great way of capturing deep meaning and bringing joy to yourself and others.

I WRITE POETRY!!! lol
Actually, I never really knew that i could write good poetry. I took this class and it taught different types of poetry and we learned about different authors. Once I started writing it, I saw a sde of me that was, well, artistic besides in music. (I play 5 instruments) I saw a soft side, a new life, really. I started to write deep poetry, like the type of poetry no one really understands. And my whole life changed. So you can say that my whole life is linked to poetry and it showed a whole new side

I write poetry, start last year. Never knew I was so good at writing poetry.

yes I do, but Im not sure if it shows another side of me that I didn't know about. I guess sometimes it is more depressing than I really act on a regular basis, so yes it does.

No. My pieces express the side of me that is gentle, thoughtful, passionate and let's not forget the closet freak. None of these are a surprise to me.
