FYI - fiction does not include self-help (altho some are dubiously non-fiction!), reference and biographies etc.

To begin your metaphor poem, consider who you are and then connect yourself to a specific object that has similar characteristics to yourself. For example, you might be “a rose that is afraid to spread its petals” or “a pencil that is always sharpened.” Once you have decided on the metaphor that you will be using to describe yourself, extend it further by thinking of the object you have chosen and your own characteristics. Use the preceding examples as models to help guide you. Your poem should be typed, at least three stanzas in length, with approximately 15 lines.

Make it original; or at least as original as possible.

Quick points for the best, and deepest.

Its a poem and i need ur opinion!

Monster

Time flies by
but all you ask
is, "why?"

Why is life this way
Where everyone is left to decay.

My music pulls me through
All the hard times i've had
Only with you

Trying to pull me away
from the only thing
that kept me to stay.

This world doesn't understand
it all lies within human hands.

my life depends on me
not on anything else.
It's all a mater of time
before you flee

Don't worry, It'll come
when you see
the monster come out of me.

I really like Mary Higgins Clark, but i have read most of her books and am looking for something different. So maybe something along the lines of mystery but it doesn't have to be.
