Yes I love the way she turns the plot how you are not even close to expecting it to go.

I thoroughly enjoy the Scarpetta books even though they are formula books. They are purely for enjoyment not great literary works for the century. I look forward to her next book. Try also the Lincoln Rhyme series. Same basic premise but still a good read especially for long summer days.

I've read them. I find they're getting a little tiresome. She needs to give Scarpetta a little GOOD in her life once in a while, just to break the monotony. You always know things are going to go from bad to worse, and the bad guy is going to end up trying to KILL Scarpetta. It stopped being believeable after the first couple times.

I remember to have read some of them. If I remember well one was named Trace, another Unnatural EXposure. There was one more but I cannot recollect the title. I thoroughly enjoyed them. Patricia was really a genius in this cadre.

I really enjoyed the earlier books, but I picked up one of her newer ones in an airport recently and it stunk. I think that she needs to take a break and go back to writing when she has a story to tell rather than write another book to fulfill her contract.

I've read one of them and really enjoyed it, but my dad has the full series and is always waiting for me to buy the next one for him as soon as it is release. So they must be good - dad's not a huge reader. Enjoy.
