The Uglies series. I'm on the second book right now and I can't put it down!!!
1st book: Uglies
2nd book: Pretties
3rd book: Specials
I also like the FEARLESS (or was it FEAR) series when I read it ages ago. It's about this girl born without the fear gene.

Here are some of the books I remember reading from about age 12-15, hope this helps:
"Maniac McGee"-baseball-themed, great for pre-teens although all ages might enjoy, humorous
"Julie of the Wolves"-girl learns to live on the Tundra with a wolf pack, for older kids and young adults, an easy read, great book
"The Giver"-a not-so-utopian society, sometimes deep and disturbing, but beautiful and thought-provoking
"The Outsiders"-a modern classic, gotta love Pony-Boy
"If I Die in a Combat Zone, Box me up and ship me home" by Tim O'Brian, set during the Vietnam war, sobering, well-written and captivating

My favorite book of all time would have to be The Firm by John Grisham. It's about how a regular guy has a run in with the mob and his desperate attemp to outsmart them and get himself and his wife out alive. They aren't teens but he's real young; early 20's and the book is just fabulous. I'm 16 and I thought it was grrreat. It's the Frosted Flakes of the literary world!

"Monster" and many others by Walter Dean Myers
and I LOVE the Traveling Pants series by Ann Brashares, it's very well-written. Titles are: 1) The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, 2) The Second Summer of the Sisterhood, and 3) Girls in Pants. I especially love the first two; they really get me emotionally and I'm not even a teenage girl anymore.

Well, the Harry Potter books are pretty good. But, i have to give credit to my man Dan Brown. The Da Vinci Code is a good book, but the predecessor to it (Angels and Demons) , is byfar better. Its not exactly a "teen" book, but im a teen and i enjoyed it immensely.
