My best choice would be Clive Owen. He would be perfect for the part don't you agree?

Not Tom Hanks! It would have to be someone who could pass for both intellectual and handsome. Not too young and not too old (Hanks). Maybe David Duchovny? I also think Nicholas Cage, but only because his National Treasure character sort of reminds me of Langdon. Someone above mentioned Harrison Ford...he would have been a really good choice if the movie were made 15 years ago but the book wasn't written yet! ..even so, I could see what they were envisioning.

I always thought that maybe George Clooney or Alec Baldwin. I think they would have been a lot better than Tom Hanks.
